“Heaven Knows” is not only a new track from Harry Strange but a progressive one.
London-based singer-songwriter Harry Strange has done it again with his new single, “Heaven Knows”. The track is a follow-up to his exceptionally well-received debut, “Back Around” that was released nearly a year ago. It’s no doubt been worth the wait.
Harry Strange has reintroduced his soothing vocals and piano-driven melodies all while adding in percussion and echoing harmonies. “Heaven Knows” is not only a new track from Harry Strange but a progressive one. His meticulous attention to detail has created a track that is brimming with textures — one that even after listening to several times you will hear something that you hadn’t previously. Soft, delicate chords and pitch-shifted vocals decorate “Heaven Knows” as Harry Strange sings of loss in an intimate and open manner.
Harry Strange explained the meaning of “Heaven Knows” as well as the process of working with Jack Gourlay, who has recently worked with Jack Garratt, Jess Glynne, and Tom Odell:
“‘Heaven Knows’ is about losing someone or something and sort of explores that moment when it becomes concrete. Was lucky enough to work with Jack Gourlay who produced it and co-wrote it with me. We really wanted to create a track that was raw and emotional whilst still having a bit of punch to it.”
Although it’s been a bit of a wait to hear new music from Harry Strange, it’s a testament to his patience and drive to release brilliant music. He does not appear to be looking for a quick success. Instead, Harry Strange is landing himself in a space of artists to watch for this year and many years to come. Meaningful music like this doesn’t come by often; but when it does, it’s by an artist that can connect with fans on an emotional level.
